The Impound is dark, dreary, and smells of dried blood. It is blood of the wolves that could not tolerate the poking and prodding of human fingers, stroking, studying them. Something about the testing causes many wolves to snap, bringing out their psychotic side. The researchers usually put the "mental" down, and let the safe ones into the enclosure, where they are then to be greeted by the final authority. The actual impound is a small 5x5 chain link fence enclosure under the shade of large pine tree, and two water dishes in the corners.

reconcilio
Latin for ‘reunited’, the pack was named in dedication to the two Alphas’ who had been separated when captured and brought to the facility, and eventually found one another. The packland has been blessed with dozens of caves for wolves to seek shelter in during cold nights or stormy weather. There are plenty of streams and ponds for fresh water (or even for those wolves who decide they want to take a swim), and a fair number of trees to seek shade from the pressing sun.

quercetum forest
The largest forest in the entire Caelum territory, Quercetum is mainly oak trees with a few wild spruce trees dotted here and there. Upon nearing the forest, the heavy scent of berries and pine needles sting one's nose. This is the ideal place for a hunt, as many herds of deer and elk choose to roam the forest nibbling on the vegetation. The trees that tower provide excellent shade, and a wonderful reward for those who braved the Ostendo Plains, which is the only entrance to the haven. The forest truly is wonderful, and could possibly be the heaven the sanctuary was named after.

widgeon river
An extensive serpent of water, Widgeon river weaves through the Quercetum Forest; and out into the open Ostendo Plains, pooling into Rawdon Lake. The water level varies in depth and width, measuring close to six feet deep and eight feet across at its deepest and widest levels. The river provides the inhabitants of Caelum with their main water source, and is a desirable place to take puppies for a romp.

ostendo plains
The Ostendo Plains is completely barren landscape surrounded by the Quercetum Forest. Although surprising that the so-called "wasteland of research" borders a gorgeous forest, it is indeed possible, thanks to the human gardeners that tend to the greenery. A rather small lake rests in the very center of the plains, which the humans and wolves alike have grown accustomed to calling Rawdon Lake. The temperature scorches the landscape constantly, and only the fittest of creatures should dare venture here.
